Are you looking for a rooms to rent Leyton? Leyton, part of the London Borough of Waltham Forest and home to our flat-share on Tupelo Road, is a relatively peaceful and quiet area of London slightly north of Stratford and the London 2012 Olympic park. Leyton is home to Leyton Orient Football Club, founded in 1881, who are currently fighting for their place in League 2 – their stadium is just a 5 min walk from Leyton Underground station.

By being direct neighbours with the London 2012 Olympic park, the local council have been able to splash the cash to help revive Leyton and the surrounding areas. If you now walk up the High Road you’ll come across rows of newly painted multi-coloured, Portobello style shops and flats which help contribute to Leyton’s charming and lively character.

Despite being a quiet and comfortable residential area Leyton still houses a trendy population of pubs and cafes where you can grab some local grub or have a pint with your mates. All in all this lovely part of London offers an affordable, yet commute friendly, alternative to locations which are closer to the city centre. Be sure to visit Coronation Gardens, where you can get lost in a 300 m² hedge maze or relax amongst the ornamental gardens and fountains – the Coronation Garden bandstand is also a focal point for performances and group activities including theatre, exhibitions and jazz bands. Just a stone throw away from our property on Tupelo Road you will find Leyton Jubilee Park which hosts the annual Leyton Mid-Summer festival, a celebration comprised of delicious food to tingle your taste buds, entertainment and musical performances.

Living in Leyton you will have the convenience of being within 20 mins of the city centre, but without the hustle and bustle that you will find just a few stops closer towards the centre. Leyton Station, located on the Central Line, is just a 10 minute walk from our properties in the area and is just one stop along from Stratford, home to Westfield shopping centre.  There are also numerous bus stops in the area which are rarely more than a 5 minute walk away and will link you up with bus routes 58, 158, 69, 97, 158 and N26.

Directly adjacent to Leyton Underground station is the Asda superstore which is perfectly located for your weekly food shopping. The ASDA is in fact part of a shopping complex which includes the likes of TK Maxx, Next, Sports Direct, B&Q and at the end of your visit you can get a bite to eat from the nearby KFC or Burger King. If you walk 10 minutes to the west you’ll come across the New Spitalfields Market – open from midnight to 11am Monday to Saturday – which is home to a huge variety of wholesale fresh fruit, veg and flowers.
